School Vision, Ethos and Expectations
Our vision at Beccles High School is very simple: we want to give students the very best start in life that we can.
At Beccles, we believe that each and every student deserves to go to an excellent school. Our focus is on delivering high-quality, engaging lessons and providing students with the care and guidance that allows them to succeed. Our students tell us that they value the way lessons are delivered and the strong relationships that exist in school between students and staff. This is only possible because of our small size and our belief and confidence in every student as an individual.
We offer a traditional curriculum that enables our students to flourish academically and which lays the foundations for their successful progression into post-16 learning. We are preparing our young people to be thoughtful, innovative, capable, responsible global citizens of the future; they will leave us with excellent qualifications and having outperformed their counterparts nationally.
Our vision is shared by all staff, and together we are responsible for upholding and promoting the values within it. Staff are supported at all levels by middle and senior leaders in their teaching, behaviour management, career development and wellbeing.
