Welcome to our website. I am proud and privileged to be the Headteacher of Beccles High School. I feel extremely fortunate to work alongside the talented and diverse learners, staff, families and community partners as the school enters the next phase of its development.

As a school leader it has always been paramount to me that education is more than just exam results and qualifications gained. It is about educating the whole child and making sure that when they leave us, they are prepared to enter today’s modern world, as resilient and well-rounded, capable young people. Maintaining as broad and diverse curriculum as we can at Beccles High School is something I will always prioritise.

Shrek The musical at Beccles

The hall became the enchanted realm of Far Far Away as students and staff put on an amazing performance of Shrek the Musical. The audience was treated to a magical performance with excellent singing, acting, dancing and laughter from all involved. Brilliant set making, lighting and support from so many people played a key role in ensuring that each audience was enthralled.

An Inspector Calls - Theatre Trip to London

Years 9 - 11 got to experience a trip to watch An Inspector Calls at the Alexandra Palace in London. As soon as the doors opened we entered the world of An Inspector Calls. Students say the theatre was nothing like they had seen before, it was rustic which added to the atmosphere of the show. The show was great and had an amazing set and cast which made it an extraordinary experience. Year 11…

Just wanted to say that moving our son to Beccles was the best thing we could have done. He comes home happy every day now instead of coming home in tears. Thank you so much for all your support settling him in.

Moving to Beccles has changed my son's life completely! He has gone from refusing to go school or coming home in tears, to coming home happy with 100% attendance. The school has provided so much support to make this happen and are super responsive when issues come up. My son used to be a nervous wreck but has gained so much confidence now and it is just wonderful to see him smiling and laughing again! I cannot thank the school enough for giving my child the opportunity to be himself and to thrive!

I am so happy that I decided to send my son to the Beccles School. The size of the school suits him perfectly and I love how all the staff seem to know him. There is a sense of community in the school that I think must be due to its size. I will definitely be sending my younger son there when he is old enough.

My daughter was moved here following our family relocating to the area and we are so pleased that she got a place. She used to hate school but now goes in happily every day which makes life so much easier! We would definitely recommend this lovely little school.
